So .. i went to Bali for a business survey trip ..
I manage to find some alone time and went through the hill of Ubud where i found these finds of handcrafted items ..
Here are some of the items that i managed to take some quick shots of ..
Just a few small ideas for more decors and events ..
My personal favourite are the rattan basket and birdcages in distressed white-wash ..
The mosaic bowls and plates are also a gorgeous accessory for the tables - a great Pop-of-Colour!

First Words .
First words are mellifluously confusing especially for a come back .
Its been a quite a time off .. and when i come to realize its been a soft surprise as its been almost one full year since my last blog entry .
Never the less, i needed that time off ..
As they say, "life is tough" and for me, that was what i went through and still getting through it .
A "rough" patch .
But as hard as it may be you just have to keep on BELIEVING ..and HOPING for the days ahead that will slowly shape your future .
God does not give challenges or problems that are bigger than our ability and strength .. and once we pass through it, we will only get stronger and wiser .
Being STRONG : its not much about physical strength but more of the power of your mind, mental control and slowly getting through it as a whole...and as a better person than the person that first entered the problem .
So ...apart from a special word from the lovely Audrey Hepburn .. i come back with 3 simple yet profound words : BELIEVE, HOPE and STRENGTH .

Sunday Love Notes

Long Distance Relationship ... its a challenge and "easy" is not a word to describe it .

Conquering the challenge, flourishing the feelings and nurturing the love are the key to a successful one ...

...although within those three there are still tens of sub-categories!

Although its a path I object to at first, but sometimes falling for our own Mystery-Man can get out of our control and our feelings takes over and things that you may not seem to do, like, approve of ...it takes place...and you allow it .

Why? ...coz at the end of the day, you know that being your Mystery-Man is what matters...coz after all, he's the one that makes you smile, giggle and all happy right?

.......and that's what mine did last night!

I got a package from him..gifting me :-

1. Love Notes : to be opened every Sunday until he comes! ...so its a lil weekly countdown calendar which not only has notes of the lil word dedications he has for me...but also pieces of puzzles! (which will be revealed week-after-week! ..so stay tuned!)

2. Antique Key Necklace with a Pink Rose : ...with a whimsical floral origami folded heart which represents the key to his heart! Which i think is completely darling!

3. Cutest Card from M.I.L.K which adorably quotes :-

" a HUG is the perfect gift, one size fits all "

Which is true! So i encourage you to hug-it-out with someone today!

Rough Sketches of New Ideas

New ideas that came to me past midnight ...
Yes, i'm known to be a "night person" ...full of creativity and fresh thoughts of ideas when the moon shines at its best and the sun appears in a different part of the world...
Here are some of my new sketches i have done in about cinq-minuit..
First : Whimsical Lampshade Chandeliers .
It can be just a simple D-I-Y at home..having different patterns and colours of fabrics for each lampshade - although different but it comes together in united harmony ..
I like to think of a shabby-chic style one .. one with soft stripes, second with mini floral patterns, another is an adorable polkadot and the last is a flower patterns with a hunch of bold colours .
It's definitely something i need to try!
Second : Tall Corner Lamps as Bedsides .
A room always has that piece that catches the eye first ...and this is a new way!
A definite eye-catches and the "accental element" in the room .
Can't wait to try it!

Glass House at MGM Grand Macao

If you're ever in Macao .. you must visit the MGM Grand ..
They have this huge glass house that is decorated beyond words..and just leaves you speechless!
Buildings are built with an inspired Spanish influence!
Its an outdoor garden within the glass house!
Think of birdcages, flowers, garden seats, plant and trees ... and giveaway is there's birds within the cages!!! -actual birds ... creative but pity because the air conditioning is super cold!
It is a gorgeous place at day time and so romantic with Christmas lights at night time ... there are bars, lounge and restaurants on the side so its a beautiful place for a definite date!
Just lovely!

The Luxe Manor - Hong Kong

So .. a part of my break, i went to Hong-Kong sometime in August and stayed at this adorable lovable sweet hotel =)
The Luxe Manor Hotel which is part of the Small Luxurious Hotel of the World ..
May i just say that I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with the room's interior?
So glam in a simple way...and you wouldn't believe how creative they are in creating this lil' whimsical room!
Bold colours, unique repro furnitures, gold framed TV and stickers stickers stickers - you can see them on the fireplace and frames on the wall!

How creative is that???

Making a Come-Back!

Dear Darlings,

Hello .. I'm back ~ finally back .. took a long break and slowly figured out what i wanted and needed in life .. wasn't easy and I'm still in the process of all that ..
I was browsing through so many whimsical blogs last night and i truly have missed blogging my interiors or even just my feelings .. i guess blogs are just the diary of today's generations .
I have so much to share within these months i've been away ... and yes! most of them are things so pretty =) and some even just encourage you to dress your room!
Though i am still in the process ... here are some hiccups i've managed to decipher :-

1. Life : day-to-day lately i just been feeling one of those days with too much worry and you wish you could sleep all day and at times never waking up at all - yes! it does sound depressing and not very "me" at all.. Thank GOD that i have come to realization and i do want to make a change! Change in the world that starts within myself .. So i have commit to make the most of my 24 hours with what will make me grow ..all things to do with health, my career, family and relationship (Mystery Man and friendship) ..

2. Career : for those of you who knows me well, you would know i am a tad .. a pinch .. a dash of a workaholic .. but lately it hasn't been so .. but from what i have breathe in and out are ideas that slowly crawl into the creativity production - and i love it! Then i think to myself......why o why should i stop doing whatever it is that i do?
With support and blessing from my family and friends, i have had the idea of opening up an Interior Agency within the streets of Jakarta ..just a small free lance start up and that i hope will be my baby that grows into a furnishing showroom =)
So i dared myself to talk to my Boss of Bellagio Furnishing and he wasn't happy about it at first as he thought it'll be something of a competition ...but as soon as i convinced him that it won't be and i'll still be part-timing in Bellagio Furnishing, he supported me by offering an affiliation with Bellagio Furnishing =D
.........and for now, yes i have started with an East Rembrant small house project..owned by a man with one great personality! - i feel so blessed ... and i am about 80% done with his house ... so keep coming back to see what i've done with the empty house!

3. Business : as a side job ... i dream of opening a business ...maybe something to do with fashion, which has always been a hidden passion of mine =) .....but all this later in the beginning of twenty-eleven! *excited*

Conclusion is sometimes we feel empty and sometimes we just start to feel tired don't feel guilty coz it's beautiful what a little-breather can do to you! To those who are feeling a lil lost, stay strong coz our Creator will never allow anything beyond our strength to happen ..

My definition of Flower is the most beautiful created plant ever made .. Flowers are able to set the mood, say "sorry", say "i love you", light up the room, a lovely centerpiece, colour palette, give a sense of fragrance, appreciate women, hint someone to get married - bride's bouquet, freshen up an old table, a date charmer and another hundred and one definition of what they are ..

These things comes in many styles in hundreds and thousand shades of colours .. and they are quite the charm to make anyone feel better, looked after, loved ...

They are a natural beauty and so restoring on the eyes .. whether they are on wallpapers, paintings, fabrics, photos, etc ..

Ever wonder why its always Flowers that are in Wedding Decors ... in Hospitals as a gift of "Get Well" ... on a Special Date ... on Valentines Day and even in Funerals ..

Flowers says it all ... and they are one thing i will never take granted for ..

Apartment Dilemma ..

Okee .. so i been busting to pour out my creativity and build my portfolio at the same time ..

So far, i've only been taking up projects that most of the big decisions comes from the client itself .. and it leaves me a little bored ...

i want to take up small apartment projects .. working with a mere space but yet, contemporary, expressive and bold ...

I want to be able to mix this and that colours ... and in the end it plays beautifully in a melody just like the picture above ..

Not only will it benefit the resident, but myself too coz it will go great on my portfolio!! Right???

I been quite bless and know a few clients and networks who "needs" their condos and apartments to be decor .. but of course, within a certain budget .. so i have contacted them all and will have meetings upon meetings convincing them that i'll be able to a funky hip decoration yet within their budget ..

Now this is where i need your support in prayer .. hoping that their budget is not too small to mix and match with ... and for them to trust me and my bowl of creativity completely!!

Pannacotta Cravings ..

...and today's is a "pannacotta" ... a smooth textured with light sour berry sauce just like Ms. Mery Ng would make (her creation above) ..

At times like this, its where i question myself "WHY" did i even consider moving to an Asian Country where mostly i would find Red Bean, Coconut Dressing and Sago as desserts ...

Its so difficult to find a cafe or a dessert place to serve you good quality Pannacotta here in Jakarta ..

Hopefully i'll discover a place for next Dessert NIght!!

And i am craving this ..................... real bad!!

Entrance Foyer .. still missing a Console Table ..

Concept of Black is to add more accent to the entrance area upon the many calm creams, whites and olive green we use ..

Nothing says it better than the black chandelier hanging down from the dome ceiling ..

We use a mix of grey slash pale turquoise wallpaper with olive green damask patterns ..

The curtain is designed uneven to give this neat room a non-monotone orderly look ..

Bonsai to dash a bit of an oriental look ..

If you pay close attention to the Chandelier, there are a few turquoise crystals hanging to match the blue in the painting ..

The 3 Seater Sofa which i name it "The VEROTIA"

The Coffee Table designed according to the Sofa Set .. loving the curves .. sooo sexy!

The 1 Seater Wing Arm Chair

We use a combination of fabrics that were imported from the U.K.

I think it fits in just perfectly!

... the main fabric has pretty classic patterns of leaves and birds with its dancing colours of olive green, dusky golden yellow and pitch-patch and of brushed brown ..

Voila!!! Project Success =D Client was super happy and so were we!

Last Christmas at Pand'Or

Last month's Christmas we had a family gathering slash dessert night at Pand'Or - Jakarta Selatan (near Blok S) ..

Pand'Or offers a warm and cozy place ... i LOVE it ..

Food was a so-so .. but the Warm Crepes : Doea Cinta is a must try!

Psssssttttt .. i LOVE those rattan white washed oval sofa!!! =D

Pand'Or is also a bakery / pattiserie / cafe-resto .. they sell fresh baked bread and cookies ..

it's a lovely place for Brunch with the Ladies ..

Recommend it if you're looking for that Home Cozy Feeling!

Well i have ... and this is it!!!

I've always wondered about the day Cinderella ran from the Ball at the strike of midnight and left her shoe ... you think she might have done it "accidentally"? ........so Prince Charming could find her?

Haven't found my Prince Charming yet .. but when i do, i surely will wear this fine Satin Heel to our Wedding Ball ..

Just the very look of it screams out my feet!

The Satin material with the diamontee and bow detailing is just absolutely Cinderella-ish Beauty!!

This piece from Miu Miu been out for quite a while maybe 12-18 months .. i wonder if they still have some stock in Jakarta? ...after all, we do get our Fashion a little late then others!

Did i tell you that they use "La-Mer" cream?

This resort is very much recommended!!

and it already catches my breath enough to make me jump in at 7am in the morning!!

The concept for this is a Girly - girl for a Girl - Teenager's bedroom name Jennifer ..

So the furniture design e.g. the bedside and the dressing table was designed inspired by the Bed Frame ..

The Armica Bed Frame which is one of our popular one from our Bedding Collections .. (Bellagio Furnishing) ..

The rooms colour are a variable of pinks and mostly purple-violet-mauve ..

The curtain is a pink light vitrage screen with drapes of dark violet and silver silks and taffeta .. and headboard was covered with a highlighted purple thai imported silk ..

P.S. Apologies for the "NAKED" Mattress ..

The Armica Bed is usually finished in our popular French Luster Green Olive Colour and without the padded upholstered headboard .. it's usually 100% solid mahogany wood ..

I fell in love with this Dressing Table .. i really didn't expect that it will turn out this gorgeous!

It looks soooo girly and is sOoo perfect!

This makes it my PIECE OF THE WEEK!

No flaws and the carving looks delicately natural ..

... well known for its truffles and tarts, resides in the funkiest building .. The Papillion - Kemang .

Had a set of coffee and cake of your choice ..

Price was a lil' above international rate .. but they do serve very fine cakes ..

One i do recommend it the Chocolate Raspberry Dome Tart (picture above) .. it is quite a sweet creation with Raspberry Jam and Marshmallow in the centre .. which deliquesce for your tastebuds .. It reminds of "Wagon Wheel" cookies for me .. which brings back so many memories of when our family just migrated to Sydney ..

Anyways, this place is quite quiet and also serves main course, gelatos and fine afternoon tea ..

If you are around Kemang area and looking for something a lil' high class for an afternoon sip and taste or a fine Western slash Dutch inspired menu then Huize Van Wely is the place ..

Dreaming of a White Kitchen

Ever dreamed of the perfect kitchen?
What would yours consist of? ... What colour? What type of bench top? Any special features?
Been dreaming alot about having my Dream House ...
... and what would a Dream House be without a Dream Kitchen? ...
I can't wait for the day i get to design it .. decorate it .. shop for it .. better yet, cook in it!!
So to get anything done right, it's always no harm to collect a few pictures here and there =)
I know for certain is that my kitchen shall have an existing island .. regardless if it was for the breakfast bar, for the stove or the sink .. but an "island" is a must for me ..
Display Cabinets with special pretty downlightings! These are an essential!!
I do have a fine collection of Cup and Saucers i would love exhibit!
I am in the middle of having either an Olive Green French slash Tuscany look or just a Simple Classic White Kitchen .. but for now i choose the white .. you can never go wrong with white ..
For me, White is the vital key in Interiors ... as much as Black is a must in a Fashion world ..
With White you can always mix the walls with printed wallpaper .. stripes or floral or plain but textured ..
For bench tops you can have the marble or a different coloured wood top ..
Features? ... How about beautiful mosaic tiles? or a chandelier? or antique pots and pans hanging down from the ceiling?
ohHhHhh!! i really can't wait til i do have my own kitchen .. for now let's focus on the saving up $$$! hihihihiii ..

Finding the rattan was quite the challenge .. we had to find one suitable to its quality ..

This Piece of the Week is an armoire that's Shabby Chic~ly beautiful ...

Made from mahogany wood and beautifully hand painted ...

This piece truly leaves me breathless and the price is also breathtaking in a dear way~!!!

(... hence why it's also on my Wish-List!! hehehe ...)

Can you conceptualize this piece on a white washed panel-wall room with a set of a cozy and comfy olive cotton canvas plain sofa .. AhhHhHHHhh wouldn't that be sooo simple, shabby-chic and yet still eye-catching due to its prettiness?

Or maybe sitting on a corner of floral filled bed room?

Or just displayed in a beautiful antique bathroom to hold all necessities of scented towels, carved shaped soaps, lavender bath salts ...

Hmmm .. perfect!

It's definitely a pretty idea to paint up a piece of your furniture ...

This one that i went to is one that just recently opened in South Jakarta near Wolter Mongonsidih Road .. It is an olden dutch inspired house that's been renovated =)

Yes it has been too long that I paused my blogging ... at this phase of busy work time ... I am trying to get my social life back on track ..

My long-distance friend Angelika, has just visited ... took her to some Hawker Street food in Jakarta Town but our last stop was to have drinks @ Casa - Kemang ..

I first got introduced to this place by an editor friend Lia ... and loved it eversince =)

Its a great place for light snack food .. for drinks (cocktails in particular) .. for a discussion and a fun relaxing time.

They offer a cosy dim place with lounges and armchairs of such a simple design yet funky colourful pillows!! Reminds me of a Swiss Design ..

Oh!!! They also ............provide small group games like UNO Stacko (Genga) and Classic Deck of Cards ..

Sorry for the almost-pitch-black photos ..

This place is a nice visit!

Squeezing in a little holiday time in the midst of another Project Survey ...

This place has soooo much potential for resorts and tourism place =)

All pebbles ... a Pebble-Full Beach ..

Water so clear and blue upon the view of mountains and islands ..

Didn't bring my bikini but didn't let this opportunity come to waste! .....so i jumped and swam with whatever i had on .. until it was dark about 7:30 pm ..

And then i saw "GlowBugs" glimmering in the water!! Awesome!!

Piece of the Week : "Golden Gilt Bed Frame"

There's nothing more "lovely" than seeing a perfect piece that fits so "right" and "beautiful" in your bedroom .. regardless if it the bed side that holds the novel you read each night, the lamp you switch off before you hit the La~La~Land, maybe its a pretty bed cover that keeps you warm during cold night ... or even better, maybe its the Man you love sleeping beside you =)

... Until i reach the part where i wake up beside the Love of my Life ... for me, its this lovely Golden Gilt Bed Frame w/ Button Upholstery ..

You can dress it up or down ... glamourous or shabby chic!

Dress it down with plain White Sheets and Covers .. Dress it up with a rich dark velvet cover .. maybe an opulent purple or a deep maroon velvet ..

Shabby Chic by playing with the cushion covers! The typical olive green, ivory, dusty pink and floral patterned =)

Loving Our New Living Surroundings

We recently moved further away from the City area of Jakarta ..

We are now living in one of the Natural, Un-polluted area ...

May not be a huge deal to those of you who resides in a Beautiful 4 Seasons Country, but for us in Indonesia, it's something different ...

Its a lovely up-down hill boulevard filled with Green Trees ... a Lake with a Ship-Wrecked Playground ... a Jogging Track all along the River and of course the "awesome" Clubhouse!!

Clubhouse has Spa & Sauna, humongous Lap Pool, Tennis/Basketball Court, Play Area and Gym!!

(which i shall upload some pictures soon!)

Not to mention, the weather here gets quite cool at morning and night which is just lovely!!

I'm definitely loving it!!

I just need to find the time to decorate the house .. order some furnitures in .. furnish here and there ..

Just some steps away from living the almost-perfect life!!

Favourite Interiors: Miss Pettigrew Movie Apartment Set

Have you seen the movie "Miss Pettigrew lives for a day?" ..

I came across this cute movie and straight away fell in love with the Interior Set ...

It was based on an Era about the 1939 .

I LOVE the setting of the apartment .. its very Classic Manhattan Style with a touch of art-nouveau and neo-classical ..

The colours that it brings to the movie set is just gorgeous ..

The genius behind the set is the lady name : Sarah Greenwood .. her other Interior Settings includes movies like The Atonement, Pride and Prejudice and the upcoming Sherlock Holmes

I definitely recommend to watch the movie for the Interior Sake!

Solid mahogany and rattan (wicker) finished in smooth textured White-Wash colour ..

Thought i remind you of what beautiful mixture that Green and Pink produces ..

I've LOVED Pink since my teenager years .. and one time i went to Ikea with the "Mystery Man" of mine .. we saw some wall lamps which had Pink and Green ..

He was determined that Green shall be my new favourite colour .. i didn't see it then .

So i skipped that Wall Lamp and instead purchased myself a White one (my favourite colour of all times) .. so let's play safe, i thought ...

For the last 2-3 years it has finally absorb to me that Green and Pink do make a pretty little something .. =)

They have one with a combination of Wood, Fabric and Rattan ... but the above one (Wood, Fabric and Leather) is perfect enough for it to be on my Wish~List!

These ones makes me wish that "cakes could stand the test of time" and that we didn't really have to taste them!! ....instead make them as "collections of displays"

I am officially tired (physically) .. i've been busy with projects and other family activities all month ..

and the past week was hectically busy ..

Haven't been eating right and darn! - (its that time of the month where my emotions carries me away)

but ... I've been stuffing myself with loads of Vit C and medicines and isotonic drinks ..

This month will just get even more busier ...

Can feel my body weakening and slowing down .

I refuse to get sick .

... but i welcome the weekend with open arms ...

Pantry Magic - Kemang

After a meeting with my client in Starbucks Kemang ..i decided to finally stop and browse through this lil' store located on the side off Kemang's main road ..

................. and as i enter, i suddenly felt like i was in Paddington or maybe Darlinghurst (Sydney) .. those pretty and colourful imported saucepans and kitchen utensils were calling out my name . I wanted to respond and start baking some moist tasty Raspberry Vanilla *muffins* ................. but i pause and re-think ..

"When will i find the time" .. and we are currently moving houses .. so NO OVEN!!!

I left Pantry Magic empty handed but with a full fat regretful feeling of "why did i leave all my Vintage Pink Baking Utensils in Sydney???"

Ever had a moment where you're puzzled by your own feelings?

A lil' perplexed over your thoughts ... and you slowly allow them to control your moves .

You want to scream yet you stay in silence ..

You want to move freely yet you stand still ..

You want to laugh out loud yet your internal being is crying?

Here i am submerged in this feeling ... i want to express myself yet i write with complete blankness ..

What is happening?

Is this a temporary pitfall of life? or is it simply me : being numbed?

Am i just tired over what's been happening?

Am i just exhausted over life's draining challenges?

All i want to do is to breathe ................ in and out .. inhale - exhale .. and just LIVE .

I want to cease it all BUT i know i can't give up yet .. there's still decades ahead of me .

I know i am not a quitter .. i am made to persevere, to be strong and spirited .

I will not let this get to me ...

Yes, i might fall for 2 seconds, i might struggle to get back up but eventually i will "rise" and take "hold" of what's been given .

I will look back and sweetly smile knowing i have again passed the test of life ... smirking and whispering to my point of reflection : "What doesn't kill me, will only make me stronger" .

... and i will stand again (stronger this time), ready to take on life's next challenge with my defensive weapon :-

POSITIVE THOUGHTS of NEVER GIVING UP .

It is those who proceed .. who carries persistence .. who commits themselves steadfastly who succeeds and triumph in life .

Was waiting for a friend in Aksara - Kemang ... spotted the red cover .. captivated by the title .. curious after the first chapter .. engaged on its story line .. breathless after reading the "first letter" and "anniversary letter" ... just absolutely signified by its moral ..

If you love "Note Book" by Nicholas Sparks .. then i recommend this one .

Basically its a story about Love, Forgiveness, Romance and Mystery!!

I'm quite determined that i'll be reading it for my second round!
